Esperáme (1933)

Carlos (Carlos Gardel) is a rich young man who in a costume party meets Rosario (Goyita Herrero) and both fall in love, but he must leave suddenly when he knows his father is death and they never have the opportunity to know their real identities. Eight months later Carlos must work as a singer due to his father broke and by chance meets Rosario again. Only she does not recognize him. Rosita's father wants her to marry a bad man who blackmails him to do so or pay his game debts. Rosita escape to avoid an unwanted marriage and meets Carlos again, who finally reveals his identity.
