The entire film is a part of or in the shadow of combat, with much displayed. However, there is no blood or gore displayed.

Standard for a '50s movie but odd for an intense war movie, there are no curse words.

The entire film features combat as part of the scene or in the background. The build-up the action and the intensity of which still holds all theses years since it's release. It can be possible to become attached to characters and fear for their lives as the situation the soldiers find themselves in seems to constantly go from bad to worse.
