The Collector (1965)

A naked woman is dragged by a man; her body is covered except for a brief shot of the side of her breast. Later in the scene her cover falls off her chest, nothing is shown and the man shortly looks away.

Mild dialogue. A woman asks if her abduction and imprisonment is for sex.

Woman requests that if the man is going to have his way with her not to do it in a mean way or use force.

A woman is shown in bra and panties as she prepares to take a bath. In the tub she is shown from the shoulders up in the front and briefly from the hips up in a view from the back.

A man lies next to an unconscious woman and holds and embraces her.

Nudity suggested in another scene that shows the woman's bare back above the waist. She pulls down her nightgown and invites a man to look at her, then lying back on a couch, invites him to kiss her. They begin making out.

A woman's multiple attempts to call for help or escape from her kidnapper lead to intense but mildly violent scuffles.

He wrestles and pins her down on multiple occasions.

She tries to stab him with a small needle.

He holds her underwater for a second.

He uses uses chloroform to subdue her on two separate occasions.

One character hits another over head with a shovel. The swing is shown, but the actual hit is just off screen; no graphic wound but bright red blood runs down the face.

Very mild. Alcohol served with dinner. A man and woman drink sherry. A woman walks through a pub, and is invited to have a drink, which she declines.

This movie often portrays the abuser as timid and polite, even though he is holding her against her will.

Man holds woman captive in basement of an old English home out in the country where nobody can hear her screams for help. The film is centered on her struggle for escape and his obsession with her. The atmosphere running through the entire film is very intense and creepy.
