Fernanda and Eduardo's marriage is going through a rough patch because Eduardo is a famous composer who only cares about himself, so she poses as a widow and has a relationship with young writer Federico, telling him that Eduardo is an old friend of her late husband.. Thus she convinces herself that adultery is decent.
