Il piacere delle carni (1992)

Morano, a butcher enriched during the war with the black market, hid a German deserter. Realizing that these, Axel, has literary talent, he thinks of boiling it off, making him write works that then count on making use of them. He treats him with every respect, reserving for him the best parts of the meat and reaching the point of forcing his young wife Olga to please him. After the war, he still keeps it hidden, but the isolation has exhausted his creative vein. Morano however, with the complicity of a publisher of few scruples, publishes Axei's novel, even unfinished, without his knowledge. Axel plans to take revenge, but then abandons this idea and while Morano tries to replace him with another "slave", he renounces his freedom for an ambiguous dependence on his master.
