The Clever Bird (1961)

Against all logic, Loukas Manis, the financially hard-pressed owner of a small electrical appliances store, insists on lending a helping hand to others, even if he knows that his selfless acts of kindness will soon put him out of business. As a result, people who want to see him fail, pose as friends, and as if that weren't enough, a trio of suave swindlers has set its sights on profiting from Loukas, of course, behind his back. However, not if his lively new employee, Fani, can help it. Before long, Fani decides to take action, going as far as to take matters into her own hands to save Loukas' failing business. But, is spirited Fani who she claims to be? Above all, can she sort the friends from the foes?
