Stratis Has Strayed (1969)

Finally, after years of hard work and personal sacrifice, the adamant scholar and meek author, Stratis Damalakis, is about to enjoy the fruit of his labour when the affluent Greek-American movie producer, Jim Andrews, and his crew approach him with an offer he can't refuse. However, there's a catch: Jim is not entirely interested in depicting the real facts portrayed in Stratis' historical work, and to make matters worse, only the enterprising filmmaker's preposterous proposal can keep afloat the impecunious intellectual. Now, Stratis is between a rock and a hard place, as not only must he accept the lucrative offer but also choose between the movie's alluring protagonist, Dora, and the love of his life, Athinoula. Which is more important in life: love or money?
