By a curious but very welcome twist of fate, the perpetually impecunious but dignified Literature teacher, Telis Rinopoulos, stumbles upon a winning lottery ticket. Blessed with an inconceivably good fortune, for the first time, Telis now has the chance to have a hearty slice of the good life; however, brief but suspiciously unimportant encounters with perfect strangers and a mysterious man in black threaten to put in jeopardy not only Telis' fantasy but also his freedom. Who is this insidious and ever-present figure wearing dark sunglasses who claims ownership of the lucky ticket? But, above all, who is friend and who is foe in this peculiar case of sheer serendipity?
