Îhatôbu gensô: KENjI no haru (1996)

The story of Kenji Miyazawa, the famous Japanese poet, science-fiction writer, teacher, and amateur scientist. Like "Shakespeare in Love," the movie is a rather-fictionalized account of a brief period in the authors life, culminating with the creation of his most popular work - in this case, "A Night on the Galactic Railroad."
