Cherno i byalo (1983)

Valery works as an editor at a publishing house. There is a place with a higher salary available. His wife convinces him to talk to his friend, who is the head of the publishing house and take this place. Valery is a delicate person. Everyone is asking for a favor. He wants to help, but he doesn't know how. At home, his wife is constantly grumbling. A relative has arrived from the province and is also asking for a petition.
