The film was released in late-1939 as a musical comedy, recounting the love affair of two young holidaymakers who have met at a luxurious seaside resort. Despite its many technical problems, mainly in sound recording, the movie was an overnight success; however, the production came to a halt after the outbreak of World War II. The re-edited film, called "Better Late Than Never", was re-released in 1955, directed by Hristos Apostolou, who added new scenes to the story, played by the famous Greek actors, Kostas Hatzihristos, Nikos Rizos, and Rallis Angelidis.
