Balamos (1982)

More than anything, grizzled Balamos wants to buy a horse to go where no man has ever gone before. As the quixotic dreamer meanders through the rugged Greek countryside, a chance encounter with mysterious Kyriakos, an enigmatic figure that transcends time, breaks the strict boundaries of today. Strange visions and dreamlike sequences mesmerise Balamos, who, unable to resist the eerie allure of a parallel universe rife with symbolism, succumbs to the pressure of his simple but overwhelming want.
