Some Birds Can't Fly (1997)

A young girl named Vesna is suddenly diagnosed with leukaemia. Having low chances of survival, her mother decides the best course of action would be to send her to live with her grandfather deep into the mountainous forests believing that the clean, fresh air might help her recover. We follow Vesna as she battles her illness and forms a bond with her previously estranged grandfather whose mission becomes to heal her the best he knows how.
