The Lucky One (1968)

Thimios, an ambitious countryman with a heart of gold, has made a promise to his long-term fiancée, Anthoula: to strike it rich and become important. With this in mind, vivacious Thimios arrives in Athens to make a name for himself, climbing the corporate ladder one step at a time. Before long, luck smiles upon him and becomes a millionaire overnight by winning the football score prediction sweepstake, unbeknownst to him, however, that the conniving duo of swindlers, Stavros and Susana, have already set their sights on getting their hands on Thimios handsome fortune. Will Thimios discover the hard way that more money means more problems?
