The Poor Merchant (1967)

To make ends meet, and continue his studies, the honest and hard-working medical student, Alexis, sells newspapers. For the past seven weeks, Alexis has been delivering the morning paper to the affluent family of Lena, a beautiful young woman with big, melancholy eyes, who, little by little, begins to have stronger feelings for Alexis. However, this relationship doesn't sit well with Lena's spiteful stepmother, Elsa, who is willing to go to great lengths to destroy their happiness. And, before long, a shameless theft taints Alexis' immaculate reputation. Can Kostis, an orphaned teen pedlar and Alexis' protégé, help him clear his name?
