Illicit Desires (1966)

Forced by his spiteful and controlling mother to leave Athens, Petros abandons his one true love, Eleni, to study abroad. But, as one thing leads to another, Eleni, too, will find herself left with nothing, after having another fight with her violent brother. Now, having no one else to turn to apart from Nana, her supportive first cousin, Eleni will have no other choice but to work for the sleazy cabaret owner, Vagelis, to make ends meet. Will Eleni ever reunite with Petros? And, if he ever returns to Greece, will he understand and accept what she has become?
