Beyond Death's Door (1979)

This movie, part documentary examines the phenomena of death. The movie begins when an accident victim is brought to the hospital and while being she slips in and out, she wakes up long enough to tell the doctors to let her go cause she is going to a better place. So the doctor who treated her decides to explore death and with discussions with his two colleagues, he comes to an understanding about death. While encountering other persons who died and how the experience affects them.
