A tragicomical mono-drama of a sensitive and talented artist who falls to pieces under the weight of his own fruitless attempts to become an understood and accepted film director. His personal drama is coupled with great concerns about his immediate surroundings as well as the overall state of the Earth. "The Diary of the Hurdy-Gurdy Man" is a make-believe documentary based on the very special video diary, that this obsessed and maniacal character, the Hurdy-Gurdy Man, records during what eventually turns out to be the last year of his sad and unsuccessful life.
