Le colonel Durand (1948)

In his younger days , a dashing officer,Colonel Durand ,compromised Madame De Monthieux,a woman from a good background, who entered a convent.Now,he is garrisoned at Strasbourg.He meets Isabelle Patrizzi ;with her ,it's the beginning a violent turbulent love story, Thanks to Emperor Napoleon, Durand attains the highest honors.But he learns that Isabelle was actually Madame De Ponthieux's sister and that she was only in it to avenge her.
