Vayanadan Thamban is nearing his death he starts to worship devils and comes across a devil Karimuthey.Vayanadan Thamban requests him to grant everlasting youth to which Karimuthey agrees on a request that he should sacrifice 10 virgin girls as an offering to him. on specific intervals.Upon offering him a sacrifice of every virgin girl Karimuthey grants Vayanadan Thamba a boon to become younger on every interval.But warns him that if he fails to offer the sacrifice his body shall rotten.
