The Storm Is Over (1943)

In the picturesque Athenian suburb of Plaka, an honest seamstress finds herself between a rock and a hard place, as her past, in the shape of her ruthless old flame, has come back to haunt her. Without delay, her pitiless ex-lover decides to blackmail her; however, the poor woman's husband, a grizzled, hard-working coachman, catches him red-handed, and in a fit of rage, he murders him. After two long decades, the freshly released from jail man returns to his old neighbourhood, only to realise that nothing has remained the same and that his now-grown-up daughter has completely forgotten him. But, the father has killed for the honour of his family. Will love prevail?
