The Pontians (1986)

Giorikas and Kostikas, two inseparable Pontian-Greek friends, have toiled in the dark coal mines of Germany for years, dreaming of a better life for their families back home. Instead, when they finally return to Greece, ridicule and mockery await them. After all, someone has been circulating jokes about an entire ethnic group for decades. Determined to uncover the truth and restore their honour, the companions set out on a challenging quest to right a wrong. But as they follow new leads and face unexpected obstacles to find justice, the question remains: Who is the cruel mastermind behind the sinister conspiracy?
