What a Girl Wants (2003)

Daphne is a teenager who travels to London to meet her father, whom she has never met and who happens to be an important politician about to launch his campaign. Along the way she finds herself caught between two worlds, as she tries to fit in with her father's posh lifestyle while also exploring the city and discovering herself, making friends and falling in love. It's a fun comedy, largely sustained by the charm of Amanda Bynes and the tender bond she creates with her father, played by Colin Firth.
