Vareia katara o dihasmos (1968)

After the Asia Minor Catastrophe, a malevolent sergeant, Ouranis, returning to his homeland with the burden of defeat, passes through Petrutsa, the village of a friend and companion killed in the war, to deliver to his second wife various memories. The village is in complete disarray and the sergeant considers it his duty to contribute to the defense of order and prosperity, thereby easing the situation. At the same time he falls in love with his friend's widow and with her he tries to recreate his own life.
