Fed up with the challenging, hands-on, 7-days-a-week work that demands his poultry farm, entrepreneurial poulterer Kitsos thinks enough is enough. So, with his bank account loaded with hard-earned money, Kitsos moves to Athens with Tasos, his sceptical brother, determined to make a name for himself. But as Kitsos tries his luck at running diverse businesses, ranging from small-scale supermarkets to theatres, rapid success and incorrigible vices cloud the extravagant countryman's judgement. Now, two money-grubbing ladies vie for his affection, bent on rinsing Kitsos for every penny to fulfil their aspirations. Will the shrewd sucker realise fame is ephemeral?
