1918. In Sofia, King Ferdinand gives orders to Captain Petrov of the Bulgarian Nay for the cruiser "Nadezhda" to take part in the armed intervention against the Soviet Republic. The cruiser sails away. Tensions between sailors and officers increase. After reaching the port of Sevastopol, the captain reports at the German naval headquarters that he is ready to carry out their orders. The sailors mutiny and refuse to fight against their brothers in revolt. The cruiser "Nadezhda" returns home. Thousands of people have gathered to welcome the heroes. The military police cannot hold back the surging multitude.
