In 1963 whole villages in Sudan (Nubia at the time) were asked by the government to move and give way for the evergrowing Nile. As 55,000 people from the city of Wada Halfi much against their will packed their homes several archeologist raced against time to recover historical artifacts and gems. This documentary looks back on the period and the areas which today are covered completely by water, in particular Wada Halfi which simply does not exist any more.
