Comedienne (1984)

If you think Mrs. Maisel captures the reality of being a woman in comedy, you need to see this documentary from the last comedy boom. COMEDIENNE (already an outdated term) follows two women in the New York comedy scene in the early 80s. Spoiler; one of the women becomes more successful than the other, but you still probably haven't heard of her. Required viewing for anyone who thinks comedy is easy for anyone.
