The Investigation Game (2007)

Movie adaptation of the Japanese novel "Hannin ni tsugu". Police superintendent Makishima (Etsushi) fails to capture the suspect of a kidnapped boy, who is killed afterwards. Six years later, he is in charge of a serial child murder investigation. Still struggled to overcome his failure in the past, Makishima uses one of the most watched TV programs to address the killer.
