Mein Traum von Venedig (2008)

Adult kids Uli and Lisa having moved out, early retirement as publishing editor is divorced Katharina Faber's cue to live her dream: to move to a house in Venice while her mother Annegret Herzog comes to housesit in Berlin. A power cut makes Katharina miss the flight, caused by chaotic architect and new neighbor Hans Baumann, whom she mistake for a contractor renovating the house next door--alas, incompetently. Just now both immature kids need help: Uli threw his nightmare job in the tax office, and pregnant Lisa considers divorcing 'adulterous' husband Stefano Cannavaro. Helping them would mean missing the house sale, but charming agent Argento awards an extension. Katharina is surprised, even charmed, at how helpful Baumann, who is romantically interested, proves.
