Return of the Storks (2007)

Vanda has had enough of her life in Germany: enough of the airline that just fired her, her undecided eternal boyfriend and an indifferent mother. She then decides to go and take refuge with her grandmother Magdalena, a hell of a good woman who has just found her childhood love in Runina, a lost corner on the border between Slovakia and Ukraine. An idyllic place, it seems, for a young city girl like Vanda. Except that nearby, men and women from the former republics of the USSR are trying to smuggle into the European Union; and that, soon, Vanda falls in love with Miro, one of the smugglers.
