Two young men from an Iranian village are given a seemingly simple task: to bring a large, wounded cow across the country and deliver it to Tehran within twenty-four hours. As the men travel cross country and enter the big city, cow in tow, they are faced with sights they have never before seen, drawing crowds of smiling girls, officious traffic wardens and bemused spectators in this unconventional road movie. Director Mehrshad Karkhani paints a gentle picture of the divide between rural and urban life in this wonderfully human tale of two wandering souls approaching their journey's end.
