The romanticized life story of Jules Ferry (Thierry Fortineau), who was born in 1832 and died in 1893. He was a lawyer and journalist, but mainly gained international fame as a statesman in the position of prime minister and minister of education. He fought for the freedom of citizens and education for everyone, including girls. He was responsible for introducing press freedom, trade union freedom and a law on divorce.
