Il peso dell'aria (2007)

Tortured by the instability of his job, Carlo easily falls in the trap of a shifty financial backer, who offers him unexpected help, forcing on Carlo's ingenuousness. His life is taking a turn for the better: Carlo can finally afford whims, and the proposal for an investment raise his expectations for a peaceful future. The investment turns out to be a fraud and Carlo soon realizes that he was dealing with a loan shark with no qualms of guilt. It's useless to escape, trying to disappear without a trace: threats and humiliations run at his family will drive Carlo to a desperate act.
