Acceptance (2008)

'Acceptance' takes place in 2006 and is about the hard knock life of an ex British Soldier Rob Reed, who, wounded in Iraq, during the Blair weapons of mass destruction era. Today he's a broken man and due to restrictions permanently out of the forces. Now he lives in the shadows, a shell of his former proud self, alcoholic, just one of the many forgotten hero's. His fiancé, Vanessa Charles is disenchanted with his aggression, luck steps in when a friend offers here an escape. Vanessa travels to Provence, France. Here she rejuvenates and rests. She meets a handsome wine-grower, Damien de la Roche and is attracted to this smooth, charming, wealthy young man. Returning from a heavy night, Rob find her gone, just a note. Incensed he pulls himself together, hunts her down and moves in as Damien makes a play for his fiancé.
