There are several scenes with shootouts, some involving fully-automatic rifles, in which armed and unarmed men are die, in urban and civilian settings. Most of the firefights are with pistols, especially revolvers. There are a couple of stabbings and drive-by shootings as well. Numerous murders, and a few robberies and beatings, are depicted, often with multiple attackers and a single victim.
A man's brains are blown out at point-blank range by another man wielding a revolver, the blood spatters onto the face of a woman near him, and she screams. There is a distance view of his bloodied and slain corpse. While the graphic detail and light color of the blood somewhat unrealistic, the tension is very raw.
