Envisioning a More Democratic Global System (2007)

The great architects of democracy from Pericles to James Madison assumed that democracy applied only internally within countries. Now, in a globalizing world should democracy be applied internationally? Is global democracy an answer to the planetary governance challenge of the 21st century? Over a weekend, Widener University School of Law hosted a Symposium dedicated to answering these questions.
