Pursuit of the American Dream (2009)

This film is about hardworking family man, Obia Mensah, who lives in Cameroon, Yaounde. He is stunned when he receives unexpected news from the company where he is employed. It leads him to lose his promotion to a younger co-worker. Rage and fury take over him, inevitably causing him to quit the company he worked in for 10 years. When receiving an email from James Ndiaye who is an old friend of his, Obia rethinks his chances for success and takes a trip to America. When the American dream he once thought of takes a foul turn, Obia is stuck between evil and good in his plight to regain his honor and get back home to his wife and children. However, his destiny is shuffled into some deep, dark unforeseen consequences and the real reason why he came to America.
