A man and a woman are seen having sex: the man is on top of the woman, they are both fully covered by sheets and no nudity visible, while we see thrusting and hear the woman moaning suggestively. A man and a young woman kiss passionately, we see them rushing to take off one another's clothing, the young woman lies on top of the man in bed, sex is implied and we later see them sitting in bed (the man is shirtless with a towel wrapped around his waist and his bare chest and back are visible); the man then lunges toward the young woman and kisses her passionately. A man and a woman kiss passionately, sex is implied and we later see them lying in bed together (the man's bare chest is visible and the young woman wraps a towel around herself). A man kisses a woman on the head and the woman pulls the man's face toward hers and kisses him passionately as a young woman watches. A woman flirts with a young woman, saying that she smells good; the woman kisses the young woman's head and rubs her shoulders. A woman leans in to kiss a man on the cheek and he pulls away. A young woman puts her hands on a man's head to pull him close for a kiss and he pulls away. A man rubs a woman's foot and looks at her suggestively. A young woman asks a man what it is like to have sex with a woman and the man explains that the woman is selfish in bed. A young woman crudely asks a man what it is like when a woman climaxes while they have intercourse.

A young woman, wearing a full body painter's suit, jumps out from behind another woman, grabs her from behind and stabs her twice in the chest; the young woman then slowly lowers the woman's dead body to the ground and we see a small amount of blood as the knife sticks out of her chest. A young woman takes the finger of a dead woman, places it in a puddle of the dead woman's blood and writes a name with the blood. A man holds up a photograph of a puddle of blood and a name written in blood, asking a young woman why a dead woman had written her name in blood. A young woman rolls up her pajama top to reveal scratches on her arm. A young woman shows a man a series of scratches on her arm. We see a flashback of a young woman falling from a shaky chair onto the ground, small scratches are seen on her arm, a man asks her if she is OK and the young woman says she will disinfect the scratches. A young woman drives her car into a pole in a parking garage and she gets out of the car unharmed. A young woman knocks wine glasses, cups and ashtrays off a table as she trashes a dead woman's home, placing the woman's belongings into a bag. We see a woman show several other people surveillance video of a man shouting and flipping over a laptop computer, a young woman shouting and stomping in an elevator, slapping the roof of a car while crying and crashing into a pole of a parking garage; people laugh as they watch the footage. A young woman dramatically pulls drawers out of a chest, panting as a man watches her. A young woman works herself into hyperventilating, she gasps for air, we see a medic instruct her to breathe in and out while she struggles to catch her breath and she cries in panic. A young woman cries dramatically, she stomps her feet up and down, accidentally sets off a car alarm and smacks the roof of the car. A young woman struggles to stand up, and two men help her to her feet as she cries. A young woman appears to faint and she sits back down dramatically after attempting to stand. A young woman is dazed as a police officer asks her about the details of a crime. A police officer proposes to a young woman that she had killed a woman and the young woman is dazed by the question. A young woman struggles to cry as she lies in a prison cell and she slaps the glass of the door. A man is handcuffed by a police officer and he struggles and shouts as he is led away. A police officer tells a man that he is being arrested for the murder of a woman, the man denies it, and shouts when a police places the handcuffs on him. A woman tells a man that she had encountered a young woman who wanted a carving knife; we see a flashback of a young woman asking a woman for a carving knife in an aggressive manner. A man shouts at a young woman. A woman shouts at a man and storms away. A man tells a young woman that she is under arrest for killing a woman, saying that the crime had been staged to appear as though an intruder had killed her. A man tells a young woman that he does not believe the young woman is capable of murder. We see a newspaper headline accusing a young woman of murdering another woman. A man watches a television report about a young woman killing a woman. A police officer tells a young woman that a woman was dead, after being stabbed three times. A young woman nervously admits that she had killed a woman. A woman accuses a young woman of sending a threatening email to her; we later see a man use the email as evidence that the young woman could have killed the woman and the young woman denies sending the threatening email. A man tells a woman that "He's dead" if people read a memo that the woman prepared. A man tells a young woman that a woman is set to "destroy her." Two men discuss that a young woman is taking medication; one man mentions that the woman who previously held the young woman's job had a nervous breakdown and went to a mental hospital. A woman jokingly tells a young woman that she is "abducting" her. A young woman clutches her stomach in pain and we later see her throw up into a sink; vomit is seen coming from her mouth.

A man is seen snorting a drug that is implied to be cocaine, a young woman takes prescription pills and leaves some on a table as several men watch, a young woman tells a police officer that she had taken sleeping pills, a police officer tells a young woman that she is having problems since she is on "uppers and downers" and points to a baggie filled with prescription pill bottles, a young woman claims that she was "overmedicated" when she confessed to a crime and she tells a man that she is no longer taking sedatives, and a young woman watches a man as he takes a series of prescription pills and the man warns the young woman that the pills are poison. Men and women drink at a party, a young woman remarks that she has been drinking and later says that she feels woozy, a woman and a young woman drink wine, a young woman and a man have wine at dinner and a woman offers a young woman a drink and says that they deserve a drink. Throughout the movie we see a man smoking cigarettes.

Once the suspense starts cranking up, most of the rest of the film is intense.
