Rookie Private Investigator Kurt Galloway is fresh out of school and looking for work. To his surprise, when he arrives home an old neighbor, Mr. Mackenzie, is already interested in his services. Mackenzie hires Kurt to find his wife, who has been missing for three weeks in the sordid Chalice City. Positive that his first case is an affair, Kurt rushes off to Chalice City to solve it. But once in town, Kurt soon finds his case taking a much darker and deadlier turn.
