Young Adult (2011)

Mavis, an emotionally unstable writer, is having trouble dealing with adulthood. When she receives an e-mail announcing the birth of her high school boyfriend's baby, she becomes obsessed with the idea of getting him back. Ignoring the fact that her ex is happily married, Mavis returns to her hometown and bonds with a former classmate, Matt, who offers her a change of perspective closer to reality. With an acid and often uncomfortable tone, the film explores adult immaturity and reflects a protagonist that clings to the past.
