Until the early 20th Century Jewish and Roma musician families live together in communities in Bessarabia, intermarry and perform music together. This musicians formed a common music culture, which was destroyed by World War II. 70 years later, fourteen internationally known musicians of various different countries began a journey into their common past which lead them trough Texas, Moldova, Israel, Germany, Poland, Austria, Hungary and France. But soon the project of the musicians became an intense and even painful exploration of their own identity finally raising the question about their own status as Jews and Roma within and outside Europe.
