World War II veteran, Captain Frank DeLand traveled 16,000 miles to fight in the least known theatre of the war: China, Burma, and India. He traveled through the war torn waters of the Pacific and aided Chinese forces during Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek's reign. He survived many perilous flights through the Himalayan mountains, and risked his life on many occasions. However, his contributions to his country did not end with the War, he went on to be a top physician in the world of Oncology.
