Evil and Gold (2011)

Enter the life of Daniel Downer, a fairly winsome twenty-something year old loquacious fellow with a childhood rooted spark of lucid misanthropy. Having such an esoteric demeanor leaves Daniel with little to no friends, save the lovely Ava Hall, an eclectic looking indy girl who, to Daniel's reassuring dismay, presses the possibility of trying out something more than simple friendship. It takes a surprise birthday party date failure thrown by his mundane parents, a neck wrenching headlock provided by his older brother for homosexual accusations (they're all true), and an overall family blow up for Daniel to finally realize and embrace his only friend in his lonesome world, Ava Hall. All of her love and her care, for all of his evil, and his gold.
