Dona Morte (2011)

Seven-year-old Josue is elated as he sets out for his first day of work, grinding sugar cane to make 'garapa'. But everything changes when he hears stories of laborers dying. Is there a black-cloaked death roaming the plantation? Can he do anything to stop it? 'Dona Morte' is the tale of a young boy trying to figure out the true meaning of death, amidst the poor work and life conditions in which he struggles.
