Activists employed various methods in practice to achieve the goals of the animal liberation movement. Some worked to inform the public through pamphlets and articles in newspapers. Others aimed to influence government officials and elected representatives in parliament. Activist organizations held demonstrations and protest gatherings outside locations where animals suffered for human purposes. However, many began to lose patience, as they achieved only limited progress and sought to use sharper actions to bring about an immediate halt to animal testing.
