Shannon's Journey (2011)

Director Chris Hazenberg ("Dark Measures," "A 2nd Chance") presents this unusual coming-of age story shot and set in Bellingham, Washington. Her parents died when she was very young. Now, Shannon is a full-grown adult, and life hasn't gotten much better. When her abusive foster father kicks her out of their trailer-park home, she starts a soul- searching journey to find herself... and a new home. Shannon sleeps in a field, under a bridge, and in the soaking rain before finally meeting someone kind from her past. Calvin, an online computer parts salesman, feels destined to sew the wounds of Shannon's heart. With the help of his friend Machete, Calvin shows Shannon a new side of life, full of wonder and horror.
