The General (2014)

In 1990, the Colgate University men's ice hockey team captured the attention of the Nation, when it's men's ice hockey team quietly rose from obscurity to challenge perennial powers for college hockey supremacy. How could a team with no athletic scholarships, some of the highest admission standards in the nation and no recognition in the National Polls compete against the giants of College Hockey. The General is a story of how a veteran coach, who had labored in the world of minor professional ice hockey and had arrived from the fabled World Hockey Association, used his unorthodox coaching style and unbridled passion for the game to make believers out of his players and bring a small upstate New York community together in the process.
