Saturnalia (2013)

After being forced into retirement and the sudden death of his wife, Richard, a man in his early 70s, is determined to live by himself despite being completely unprepared to deal with his new reality. Neil, his estranged son, seeks to take advantage of his father's situation by having him declared incompetent so that he can take over his estate. Both of their plans are thwarted when Edey, a homeless woman with a history of mental illness, sneaks into Richard's house and somehow manages to conceal her presence for an extended period of time. As Edey becomes increasingly obsessed with filling the void left by Richard's wife while protecting him from Neil's schemes, father and son are unwittingly forced to escalate their conflict, leading to a clash that irrevocably changes the lives of everyone involved. "Saturnalia" is based on the shocking true story of a homeless woman who managed to live for a full year in a man's house by hiding in an unused closet.
