Odayaka (2012)

Set after the Fukushima nuclear disaster, Yukako and Saeko are neighbours at their small Tokyo apartment. They are both anxious, nervous and uneasy about the world. Yukako worries about radiation and toxicity and wants to relocate. Saeko is feeling the same, which adds to the pressure she feels given how her husband has requested a divorce. Setting aside the obvious similarities the two grow close once one attempts a suicide.
